Thanks to the City of Québec financial support, the Notre-Dame de Québec Basilica-Cathedral presents the second Porte de musique Concert of the Jubilee Concerts Series: Jesus Christ Superstar main songs from Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Weber, in an arrangement for voices, organ, cello, electric guitar and  percussions by Marc O'Reilly. With the  Ensemble vocal Tiens! Tiens! Tiens!, directed by Chantal Boulanger, and Marc D’Anjou, main organist at Notre-Dame de Québec.

B. Andrew Mills is the Organist and Choirmaster at Old St. Patrick's Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. He previously served St. Peter's Church on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., from 1990 to 1999, and the Church of St. Agnes in New York City from 2000 to 2010 .

He earned his bachelor's degree in music from the North Carolina School of the Arts, where he studied with John Mueller; and his master's degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington, where he studied with Peter Marshall.

Mr. Mills has played concerts at the National Cathedral and the Basilica of the National Shrine in Washington, and at St. Thomas Church Fifth Avenue and the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in New York City. In 2013 he took part in the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, playing a concert at the Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul.

He will play pieces from Johnson, Frescobaldi, Buxtchude, Bach, Handel, Albinoni, and Brewer.

The Notre-Dame de Québec Basilica-Cathedral presents the «Open Door» Series of the Jubilee Concert. Today,  Matthieu Latreille et Francine Nguyen , organists, will play pieces from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart adapted to four-hand organ play.

Bruno Mathieu, from Paris to Québec City

Bruno Mathieu is a French organist born in 1958. He studied organ, composition and piano with famous French teachers. He is the main organist at the Saint-Justin de Levallois-Perret Church near Paris. He also plays at Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral as well as Saint-Sulpice, Saint-Germain-des-Prés and la Madeleine Churches. He has given over 600  concerts in Canada and Europe.

Bruno Mathieu teaches organ at the Paris XXe Conservatory and recorded various pieces from  J.S. Bach, Louis Vierne, Jean Langlais, Marcel Dupré, and Olivier Messiaen. He wrote a Te Deum, played for the first time in Notre-Dame de Paris on December 31, 2000, as well as a ‘’fantasy for organ’’ or a ‘’silly little piece for piano’’.

Céline Fortin is an organist and a clavecinist. She studied organ with Robert Girard and clavecin with Hermel Bruneau. She is the official organist of the Chicoutimi Cathedral since 2000. In 2007, she gave an organ recital Quito, Ecuador, where she was representing Canada at the VIth World Festival of Sacred Music. She will play pieces by Bach, Mendelssohn, Dubois, Dupont and Bédard

On the occasion of the Québec City Anniversary, Notre-Dame de Québec presents a recital  of the «Porte ouverte» series of the Jubilee Concert.

Don't miss the second recital of the "Open Door " series of the  Jubilee Concerts with Mr. Olivier Lavoie-Gagné, organist and  musical director at the Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Montréal, on June 19 at 2:00 PM. Olivier will play pieces from Vivaldi/Walther, Buxtehude, Bach, Brahms and Mendelssohn. free admission. Welcome to all!

On April 16, we presented the Deux choeurs, deux orgues Concert with the Choeur de l'orchestre symphonique de Québec and the Ensemble vocal Jean-Claude Picard directed by David Rompré. Organists were Marc D'Anjou, who celebrates 20 years as Notre-Dame de Québec titular organist, and Dominique Gagnon. This concert was the first of the Portes de musique Series of the Concerts du Jubilé, sponsored by the City of Québec.

On November 1, 2015, Ann Sieben left Denver, Colorado …on foot. At the end of her pilgrimage, she will have walked 4,000 km in the snow and the cold to reach her destination, the Shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré where she will arrive on Easter morning after having passed through the Québec Holy Door on Holy Thursday, March 24.
